***Lake Kerr State Park is on the traditional land of the Occaneehi and Sapponi Indigenous Peoples**
On my way back from having a fantastic time hanging with my fam in Williamsburg, VA and spending time with my mentor, life coach, interior designer, spiritual director, and creative consultant, Keiko, in Richmond, I passed by Lake Kerr State Park and figured why not stop and spend a night here to cross this State Park off the list!
TBH, the **campsite** I stayed at wasn't as nice as the other State parks I'd been to so far this summer. (No pad, no clear space to set up tent, bathrooms a little dirty) But what the park lacked in style it made up for it with tons of beautiful rocky shore line to take in the sunset or just have a moment to yourself!
While Lake Kerr wasn't one of my favs, I'm deff still happy I made it there! You can never go wrong taking time to be outdoors close to some water!
Highlights:
- Taking in the sunset
- Meeting super cool peeps at my campsite
- Beautiful rocky shoreline
Pro-Tip: Make sure to check out the shoreline by the community center there!
Lake Kerr is in Vance County, so I can cross that one off the list!
***I only visited one campsite and have no idea how nice/awesome other parts of the park might be***
